Since April 27, the province has recorded nearly 4,450 cases returning from epidemic areas in the country, of which 1,901 people returned from Ho Chi Minh City. All of these cases, depending on epidemiological factors, have been sent to centralized quarantine, home quarantine and self-monitored their health at home.
Regarding patient 6777, in Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City, related to the Renaissance Missionary Church who visited Khanh Hoa province, the entire province has traced and identified 7 F1s and sent them to centralized quarantine; 17 F2s are quarantined at home. According to epidemiological investigation, on the morning of May 20, patient 6777 from Ho Chi Minh City went to Khanh Son district to deliver goods, then went to Nha Trang beach (Pham Van Dong street area) to bathe, stopped at a sidewalk cafe in Dam market to drink water, at noon of the same day stopped at a restaurant in Cam Loi ward, Cam Ranh city and then returned to Ho Chi Minh City. On May 31, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control announced that this patient was positive for SARS-CoV-2.
“Currently, the Control Center is continuing to trace F1 and F2 cases related to this patient. Environmental treatment has been carried out at the locations this patient visited.”
According to information from the Khanh Hoa Provincial Center for Disease Control, by the evening of June 1, the center coordinated with relevant units to trace 7 F1 cases epidemiologically related to patient 6777 in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City. All 7 cases were tested and all tested negative for the first time. Currently, the F1 cases are in normal health and have been sent to centralized quarantine according to regulations. 83 F2 cases were traced, notified to local management, and quarantined at home according to regulations. The center is continuing to verify and investigate F1 and F2 subjects related to this patient.
